NBA All-Star Saturday Picks: Best Bets for the 3-Point Contest and Shooting Stars
This season’s NBA All-Star Weekend takes place at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California at the home of the L.A. Clippers.
There are plenty of events to wager on, including the 3-point contest and the Shooting Stars showcase.
We’ll break down three plays for the Saturday action. Remember to monitor the odds throughout the day, as the market is constantly changing.
Here are the free NBA picks for Saturday, February 14.
Best NBA All-Star Weekend picks - Odds Courtesy of DraftKings
- Damian Lillard (+475) - To Win 3-Point Contest
- Norman Powell (+800) - To Win 3-Point Contest
- Team Knicks (+150) - To Win Shooting Stars
Damian Lillard (+475) - To Win 3-Point Contest
In this eight-player field, only one has not played a single minute this season. Damian Lillard seeks his third 3-Point Contest title after winning in 2023 and 2024, while seeing the court for the first time since suffering an Achilles tendon injury.
It is a bit unconventional for a player to participate in this competition off a major injury, but Lillard is one of eight players to win the 3-point Contest multiple times. He is by far the freshest and most well-rested shooter in the field and is worth a look at nearly 5/1 odds.
Norman Powell (+800) - To Win 3-Point Contest
Powell played the last three seasons with the Clippers before heading to the Heat this season, where he leads Miami averaging 23.0 points per game. He is also shooting 39.6% from 3-point land, marking the 10th time in his career he is knocking down at least 39% from deep.
He participated last season with the Clippers and didn’t escape the first round, as he looks to become the second straight Miami shooter to win after Tyler Herro captured the title. Although he is a longshot, Powell is definitely worth a look here at these odds.
Team Knicks (+150) - To Win Shooting Stars
The Shooting Stars competition is back for the first time since 2015 with four teams participating. The favorite for this showcase is Team Knicks, who feature Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and former sharpshooter Allan Houston.
All four squads have two current players and one former player representing them. The other three teams are Team All-Star (Scottie Barnes, Chet Holmgren, Richard Hamilton), Team Cameron (Kon Knueppel, Jalen Johnson, Corey Maggette), and Team Harper (Dylan Harper, Ron Harper, Jr., Ron Harper, Sr.).
Team Knicks is probably the best collection of shooters out of the four squads participating. There’s no reason to overthink this one at a small plus price to capture the Shooting Stars title.
